1. Substance and Purpose of the Symposium
This year, the Japan Trade Union Confederation - Research Institute for Advancement of Labor Standards (JTUC-RIALS) marked its 10th Anniversary. In commemorating the anniversary, we will organize an international symposium, inviting leading activists, theorists and policy-makers in the field of international labour theories and policies.
At the symposium, participants will have opportunities to broadly exchange their views on various labor issues and about the future of work and trade unions, jointly seeking to find a direction of the trade union movement heading into the 21st Century.
